Virtual Servers

The Stream Networks cloud computing platform provides you with all the functionality of a physical server and state of the art IT infrastructure, without having the normal capital expenditure costs, maintenance headaches traditionally associated with a physical ‘on premise’ platform. The standard offering is Infrastructure as a Service and Software as a Service, however this can be enhanced to provide licence management, software updates, disaster recovery and full remote management and monitoring services which is all associated with managing technology in today’s 21st century connected world.

You can run whatever software you like within the Cloud, with your own access policies, and benefit from temporary or permanent increases in resources whenever you require it.

Whether you are looking to implement a Public, Hybrid or Private cloud, the Stream Networks Virtual Server Farm (VSF) is designed in a highly available geo-redundant architecture.

Based on VMWare with highly available hardware, our Server Farms are all UK based on each datacentre connected to our MPLS core via our resilient 40Gbps fibre ring. In addition, each datacentre environment is backed-up to 3 different locations.

  • SORCE Ltd wanted to offer cloud hosting as part of the services provided with our Intranet / Extranet solution. We had found that the hosting companies we had worked with previously were somewhat inflexible in terms of integration to our client’s network and were also not able to offer relevant guidance on the most suitable server configurations for us and our clients. Working with Stream Networks gives us and our clients the flexibility we need, backed up by a knowledgeable support team who take a very hands-on approach to initial configuration and on-going support.

  • Like many modern businesses we have offices and homeworkers across the country; 24/7 access to all our systems is essential; this was made possible with Steam Networks Cloud solution. We have received impeccable support, nothing was too much trouble…We don’t know how we did without it, or Stream Networks before!

  • I located Stream when the service level offered by my previous hosting company, dropped to an unacceptable level. Stream firmly share my values that the quality of the service they provide, should be as important as the services and systems they deliver. They frequently exceed my service expectations and have a responsive and helpful support team to cater for our every need. I have no regrets in placing our business with Stream.
